FQAs

  1. What is the main function of this product? it could extract audio signals from HDMI source to digital optical (SPDIF) or analog stereo (3.5mm L/R) audio outputs. it also supports bitstream audio downmix to analog stereo output and keeps optical and HDMI out audio passthrough.
  1. How do I know which EDID switch setting is best for my requirements? Here are the details about different EDID switches that you can set according to your requirements:
TV: The device will copy the EDID from the TV connected to the HDMI output, and the HDMI source device will output video and audio signals according to the TV EDID. If your TV supports DOLBY 5.1CH/DTS 5.1 CH audio, your HDMI source device will output DOLBY/DTS audio. This device can separate DOLBY/DTS audio signal from HDMI source and output via SPDIF. At the same time, it decodes/downmix DOLBY/DTS audio to analog stereo audio and outputs it through RCA L/R.
Bitstream: let the HDMI source device know that HDMI sink device support up to 5.1CH digital audio. so HDMI source audio can output DOLBY 5.1CH/DTS 5.1 CH audio, DOLBY/DTS audio is decoded to analog stereo audio and output via the RCA L/R, keep SPDIF and HDMI audio outputs pass-through.
2CH: let the HDMI source device know that HDMI sink device support only 2CH audio. so HDMI source device output 2CH PCM audio, and output via the RCA L/R, keep HDMI audio output pass-through.
  1. What audio formats are supported by the optical audio output port? LPCM 2CH, Dolby Digital 2/5.1CH, DTS 2/5.1CH
  2. What audio formats are supported by the RCA L/R audio output port? Analog Stereo 2CH
  3. What is the maximum audio sample rate supported by this product? its audio sampling rate up to 24bit/192 kHz
  4. When the product extracts digital or analog audio, does the HDMI output port keep audio signal pass-through? Yes
  5. When the product extracts digital or analog audio, is the HDMI video signal synchronized with the audio signal? Yes
  6. What audio formats does this product support decoding? PCM/DOLBY/DTS
  7. Does it support HDMI CEC function? Yes, it Supports CEC pass through
